By loading this machine with various different media we are able to deburr, lap, smooth, polish multiple different parts with different geometries. At 25 cubic feet we can process thousands of parts per batch and pass the resulting savings of individual part handling and manipulation to our clients. Check back soon to view photos and videos of the machine in action and befor and after pics of processed parts.

CONGRATULATIONS!
During the manufacturing process abrasive blasting is commonly used to finish the piece. The best material used on stainless is garnet and to keep stainless' corrosion resistance properties garnet is mandatory due to its inert, non-magnetic properties. If steel, sand or contaminated media is used it will be only a matter of time before rusting and subsequent part failure is observed (see picture below).

Sometimes it is not known how the surface of a CF8M supplied part has been finished or subsequently treated to restore stainless' corrosion resistance to meet or exceed specification. All to often the part is commissioned in use sometimes in very complex assemblies in this inferior state. If the part fails, then subsequent repair/replacement, and corrosion processing the piece in situ is a lot more difficult.

Pickling/passivation, or electropolishing will completely restore a "contaminated" surface of CF-8M back to meet and exceed specifications by removing all corrosion and regenerating the passive layer. In the picture below had this 10" valve assembly been pickled/passivated or electropolished, failure would not have occurred. The contaminated external surface can be processed in-situ however the internal surface is another story...

Yup...only in our dreams also.

Well the Molson's Canadian Hockey House for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics has one!

The tops and bottoms of 40 or so beer kegs were cut off. Electropolishing was chosen for its ability to brighten the surface while maintaining its original condition by controlling the surface dissolution rate. Electropolishing is alot more economical than mechanically "buffing".

The ultra clean, micro deburred, and brightened kegs were cemented in the wall. Check out the photos "HERE" or by clicking on the pictures below.

The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003. The guys behind it joked about 80s fashion and decided it was time to bring the moustache back. In order to justify their Mos (Australian slang for moustache), they used their new looks to raise money for prostate cancer research… never dreaming that facial hair would ultimately lead to a global movement that would get men talking about a taboo subject – their health.

A Mo Bro starts Movember – the month formerly known as November – clean shaven, and grows a moustache all month long, garnering support from friends and family in the form of donations. What’s more, a Mo Bro is a walking billboard for the cause as his new look opens the door for him to talk about prostate cancer – making the moustache a symbol, much like the pink ribbon is for breast cancer. Each Movember culminates in a Gala Partè in major cities around the globe where Mo Bros dress up to match their Mo, channeling the likes of Tom Selleck, Ghandi and Ron Burgundy, vying for the ultimate accolade: Man of Movember.

While growing a Mo is left to the guys, Mo Sistas (women who support their guys) form an important part of Movember by recruiting Mo Bros, helping to raise funds and attending the highly anticipated Gala Partés.

So everyone...show your support for prostate cancer research, grow a moustache. Ladies, by all means if you have the ability, grow one too. Or donate online by clicking "HERE"
